The Fort Belvoir Yacht Club (FBYC) is located on Fort Belvoir just off Route 1 south of Alexandria, Virginia. The marina is actually on Dogue Creek just south of historic Mt Vernon. The FBYC was established over 24 years ago to promote social and recreational boating activities. During the boating season we have several overnight “raftups” (usually in Mattawoman Creek), cook outs, and other activities. The club is dedicated to seeking improvements in the Potomac River environment and to assisting in improving Fort Belvoir’s Marina Facility. The club seeks a strong relationship with local civilian yacht clubs and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and became a member of The Potomac River Yacht Club Association (PRYCA) in 1999.
